‘Drink driving’ horror: Woman drives home with dead body lodged in windscreen

She drove more than a kilometre before realising.

A woman drove more than a kilometre before realising there was a pedestrian ‘impaled into her vehicle.’

Californian woman Esteysi Sanchez, 29, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter on Monday after she hit and killed a homeless man following a drunken bender.

‘From what I understand, she was out partying all night and was on the way home,’ Sgt. Jeff Brandt of the Oceanside Police told The Washington Post.

Police told NBC Sandiego ‘the man’s leg detached from his body and flew through the back window, landing on the trunk of the car.’

The Washington Post said the rest of the man’s body ‘crashed through the window such that the top of his head rested on the passenger seat while his body remained lodged in the jagged hole in the windshield.’

The victim was either walking to or from the soup kitchen.

Sanchez reportedly pulled over, walked home and informed her husband who called the Oceanside Police Department.
