The lamb gyros recipe that will make you feel like you are in Greece

Transport yourself to the sunny islands of Greece with this delicious lamb gyros recipe by none other than Martha Kalifatidis’s foodie family member Mary, her mum. 

Packed to the brim with all the good stuff, this recipe is quick to make and perfect for a healthy meal morning, noon, and night.

The best part? The air fryer makes the lamb extra crispy.

Begin by seasoning meat with salt, pepper, and oregano. Make sure you season both sides. Place in a large bowl. 

2.

In a food processor, process the tomato and onion and add to the meat mixture. Add your yoghurt and massage through.

Place in the refrigerator for 5 hours or overnight if needed. When ready to cook, take it out of the fridge.

Cut potatoes equally in half. Place skewers through the potatoes with the sharp side pointing up. Carefully place pieces of meat through skewers one by one.

Place meat in your Phillips Airfryer basket. Set the temperature on low (approx 160C) for 20 minutes. Change the temperature to 200C for another 10 minutes until the meat cooks through or to your liking.

Cook frozen chips in oven per packet instructions. 

7.

Add in meat, filling, and cooked hot chips into souvlaki pita. Roll up, wrap and enjoy!
