2. Nailed It!
This unicorn fail appeared on an episode of Nailed It! - and we can see why! Surprisingly this was judged the best of all the unicorn attempts - despite the seriously wonky eyes! And how did the baker make the horn? Wrapping fondant around a carrot! Eww!
3. 'I laughed my head off.'
One mum's unicorn cake didn't exactly go to plan - but she tells Mothering.com that her daughter didn't even care!
'It is really lucky for me that my five-year-old hasn’t discovered Pinterest,' she reveals. 'If she had she would have been quite disappointed in my artistic endeavors. Yay for kids who don’t know any better.
I put the cake in the fridge for later and got ready for our little family birthday party. I couldn’t help but post a picture on Facebook because seriously, what is more hilarious than a total birthday cake fail at someone else’s expense? Not much. Every time I looked at the thing I laughed my head off.'
4. Eye see what went wrong here!
One Perth mum was happy to see the lighter side of her unicorn baking fail, telling the Daily Mail: 'I am so sick of people filling Facebook up with everyone looking perfect - usually the photos we see are one good photo chosen out of 10 bad ones.
'These photos always look amazing and it looks like they have their s**t together but I wanted to show people that you do mess up and it doesn't matter. It was hilarious!' So true!
5. When in doubt, use cardboard!
Creating fondant ears and eyes isn't as easy as it looks sometimes, which is why this mum stuck to carboard. Unfortunately it didn't quite work out!
6. Oh dear, what went wrong here!?
One American mum attempted to make a designer unicorn - but it didn't go to plan!
'What I didn't bank on was that my 4-year-old son would want to help,' she told Wral.com 'And by help, he wanted to make his own unicorn cake and promptly stole one of my three layers. He also wanted to steal all of the icing for his cake. And if you are wondering this photo is of my cake, not his.
'I hadn't planned to even share the photo or do this post, but my friend said it was the funniest cake she had ever seen.'
7. Um. Er. Um.
The less said about this cake, the better!
8. While it's not strictly a unicorn ...
This My Little Pony cake is still a magical horse fail and we could love it more!
9. Even the unicorn is laughing!
It's our favourite unicorn fail of all time, with even the cake laughing at its own fail! Mum Lizzie who made it saw the light side of it all and admits 'it did taste good!'. Well that's the main thing!
