Theresa says she used her own basic sponge cake recipe for the cakes - she suggests that you could even use a packet mix to save time! - and cooked them in the pie maker, without turning them over, until they’re done.
While the cakes are cooling, Theresa made a chocolate icing mix using 2 cups of icing sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, a tablespoon of butter or margarine and 1/2 a cup of milk.
Then it’s simply a case of dunking the cakes into the chocolate icing and rolling them in desiccated coconut!
Theresa, you’re a genius! Her fellow Kmart Pie Maker followers agreed, saying they couldn’t wait to give the recipe a go.
