Ingredients
1 leg of lamb (chicken and pork can also be used)
1 tomato
1 red onion
1/2 cup of Greek yoghurt
1/2 a lemon rind
Salt
Pepper
Oregano
Smoked Paprika
2 potatoes
4 thick skewers
Frozen chips
1 or 2 packets of souvlaki pita
Filling
Greek tzatziki dip
1/2 iceberg lettuce (sliced)
2 tomatoes (sliced)
1 red onion (sliced)
Lemon juice
Method
-
Begin by seasoning meat with salt, pepper, and oregano. Make sure you season both sides. Place in a large bowl.
-
In a food processor, process the tomato and onion and add to the meat mixture. Add your yoghurt and massage through.
-
Place in the refrigerator for 5 hours or overnight if needed. When ready to cook, take it out of the fridge.
-
Cut potatoes equally in half. Place skewers through the potatoes with the sharp side pointing up. Carefully place pieces of meat through skewers one by one.
-
Place meat in your Phillips Airfryer basket. Set the temperature on low (approx 160C) for 20 minutes. Change the temperature to 200C for another 10 minutes until the meat cooks through or to your liking.
-
Cook frozen chips in oven per packet instructions.
-
Add in meat, filling, and cooked hot chips into souvlaki pita. Roll up, wrap and enjoy!
