‘But I've just had an issue this morning, and I don't want to feel like I'm this perpetual whinger if indeed it is nothing to be worried about. I have been eating a packet of chocolate covered sultanas (yes I know it's only 9 a.m. 🙈) but one of the sultanas was actually this piece of wood that is in the image below.
‘There was no sultana just this wood covered in chocolate. I have looked at the back of the Pack and it says that it may contain "tree nuts, peanuts, sulphites". Does this look like a reasonable object to find in this product before I complain, yet again, to head office?’
It didn’t take long for the group’s members to react to Crystal’s post encouraging her to address it with Aldi in case they needed to do a recall.
Wrote one: ‘I’d let them know! They might need to recall the product.’ Added another: ‘Agree ... what if it’s a recall item ... like what if it’s a bad batch and they need to recall it so it doesn’t make anyone sick .... this could really be dangerous for kids.’
Said one more: ‘Def let them know in case they need to recall the product. Unfortunately it happens.’
In the end, Crystal says she spoke to Aldi who were keen to investigate. She says: ‘Aldi were great. Customer service took batch details and store, unexpectedly, provided full refund.’
