But the mum-of-5 and cleaner says she was soon won over by the $39 Aldi gadget, saying the images of the filthy water it collected from her clean windows speak for themselves.
‘I always use premium brands for cleaning at work, I’m contracted to use them and work pays for them. But with five kids, two dogs and a lizard to pay for and feed each week there is no way I can afford such luxuries.’
Susie added that she had eyed off the Aldi budget window cleaner in the latest catalogue and went for it.
‘I’d just done my big weekly shop, it’s payday, and I thought to me self (sic) bugger it, I’m gonna buy something nice,’ she says. ‘The old fella didn’t even get me a card for Valentine’s Day so I can easily justify the treat for myself!’
Susie has sent New Idea Food her dirty water from cleaning just one window, and the results are staggering.
‘Between the bushfires, rain, dog slobber and grotty kids fingers my windows were an absolute state. I was blown away by my new little gadget. I can’t wait to do the whole house.
‘This little beauty is a life saver.’
