The mini frozen potato bakes come in packs of four and cost just $3.69, and are easily cooked just by popping them in the oven for around 20 minutes.
And the result? Total yum.
Fans have flooded the awesome Aldi Mums page on Facebook with amazing reviews for the new product.
‘I’m usually a bit hesitant buying some frozen foods, but OMG these are divine!! Will certainly be a regular on the shopping list now!’ said one. Added another: ‘We are addicted to these as well.’
Said a third on another Facebook page: ‘Best thing I’ve ever bought from Aldi. Ever.’
Added one more: ‘I’ve had a lot of potato bakes at a lot of restaurants and these are better than any 5-star restaurant.’
Said another: ‘I ate four on my own ... they were that good! The only product I want from Aldi these days.’
Aldi describes the gratins has being ‘sliced potatoes layered with thickened cream and cheese’ and adds: ‘Using the traditional French method of combining layers of thinly sliced potato, cream and cheese, each layer melts into the next, creating a to-die-for taste sensation.’

It’s the new Aldi product that’s been called the must-have buy of 2020 from the supermarket’s thousands of fans.
The Maitre D’ Potato Gratin has been described as ‘the best potato bakes I’ve ever tasted’ by one Aldi shopper, while another stated they were ‘better than any 5-star restaurant.’
