They’re known as the inseparable comedy duo Hamish & Andy, but it appears the two funnyman are preparing to take on more individual projects.
Talking to the Herald Sun, Andy Lee revealed he is taking some time apart from comedy partner Hamish, but noted it’s a ‘good’ thing.
‘We love what we do. It’s my favourite place to be, but you learn more. You come back with a lot of tricks,’ Lee told the publication.
Adding that the pair need to branch out individually to grow as a duo.
‘Every time [Hamish] did Spicks and Specks he’d come back and say ‘Oh we did this and I learned this’,’ he explained.
‘You’re adding more strings to your bow.’
Most recently, Andy is regularly featured on Talkin Bout Your Generation alongside host Shaun Micallef, Robyn Butler and Laurence Boxhall.
But – don’t fear! Hamish & Andy are going to be putting their comedy chops back together soon, with their TV show True Story gearing up for a second season in June.
