Almost three years after Angelina Jolie announced she was divorcing Brad Pitt, she’s got herself a new identity!
While in the celebrity world she’s always been known as Angelina Jolie, on paper, she took her husband’s surname.
But as of this week, court documents obtained by Radar Online reveal she’s dropped the “Pitt”, solidifying her single status.
According to the website’s source, the exes’ six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, will continue to have their last names hyphenated to Jolie-Pitt.
This week it was revealed that the pair “negotiated a bifurcated judgment, which ended their marriage but allows them to continue to negotiate the end of their divorce,” which has only hurt their children, according to the source.
“This has been going on for such a long time now,” the source explained. “No amount of money or help from nannies can take away from how heartbreaking it is to see their parents at war like this.”
