These vehicles were available for sale between February 16, 2018 and May 11, 2019. Affected vehicle identification numbers (VIN) are available from the Product Safety website.
Previously Mazda had recalled the 2019 Mazda3 hatchback after it was found that wheel studs may not be fully seated and can cause the wheel nuts to loosen, making a knocking or clunking noise, and potentially allowing the wheel to fall off.
All defects may increase the risk of an accident to both the driver and other road users.
Affected customers will be contacted by Mazda Australia and will be advised to book an appointment for a no-cost repair.
Mazda Australia also has a customer support line if you require further details. You can contact them on 1800 034 411.
