An Aussie mum has shared a photo of a recent pantry find that’s sure to bring back all your childhood memories!
Posting on the fabulous Mums Who Cook & Bake Facebook page, mum Melissa reveals how she found a couple of MasterFoods spice containers that go back a, er, fair while!
She writes: ‘Use before July 86... Still good right😂?’
Ha! The post was met with great delight by her fellow Mums Who Cook & Bake, with many commenting that they belonged in a museum and brought back lots of memories.
‘They are antiques now so sell them for $259 a jar 😂 great decor!’ said one. Added another: ‘Omg that's before I was born!’
Said a third: ‘I had no idea master foods had been around this long 😁’
Added one more: ‘Omg that has to be a record! I remember those labels when I was a kid!’
Said another: ‘Memories, we had a whole wooden spice rack of these babies, and some of older bottles with the stopper on top.’
Others posted a pic of their old spices - including a bottle of ground ginger which still had a 31-cent price tag on it and a jar of Keen’s Curry Powder with a use-by date of September 1984!
‘This is the Keen’s Curry powder that came out my mother’s pantry,' said follower Lisa. 'It’s survived at least 3 house moves.....’
