It’s the safety hack that’s gone viral across Australia today - and with good reason!
Sharing her clever tip on the awesome Kmart Hacks & Decor page, mum Amanda reveals how she uses a $2 Kmart Pool Noodle to stop her toddler son locking himself in his room.
That’s right! By cutting a small piece of the pool noodle and placing it at the top of the door, it acts as a jam to stop it from closing - and to stop little hands being caught in the door as well.
Explains Amanda: ‘My 2yo son has started closing doors and to stop him from closing himself in his bedroom I have cut a section of the Kmart $2 pool noodle to create a door stop that he can not reach, is easy to remove and does not mark the door!’
The pool noodle is the genius trick to stop kids locking themselves in a room ... or getting their fingers caught in a room!

‘This is brilliant!’ said one. ‘I’m so doing this for my little one,’ said another.
Added a third: ‘Genius! Such a good idea.’
We couldn’t agree more!
