Keeping your stovetop clean while you’re cooking can be a tricksy proposition.
While kitchen gadgets such as splatter guards are handy in some situations, they don’t work if you have to flip or stir your dish often. As a result, most of us are just resigned to the tedious task of wiping away oil and sauce splatter every night - boring!
Well now one clever mum has come up with a solution that’s now gone viral - and it requires no heavy cleaning and elbow crease!
Sharing on the fabulous Mums Who Clean Facebook group, mum Christina revealed how she simply leans a baking tray against the back of her splash back to catch any nasty splatters - and then just pops the tray into the dishwasher clean once dinner is done!
She writes: ‘I put a baking tray behind my cooking to save cleaning after tea. Then put the tray in dishwasher after!’
The simple hack got the big tick of approval from the group’s other followers, attracting more than a thousand comments and likes.
‘This is genius! So simple!’ said one. Added another: ‘I love ideas like this!’
Said one more: ‘Brilliant idea. Thank you!’
