Just call us the lucky country! The best burger to grace the Macca’s menu is only available in Australia, and you can bet worldwide McDonald’s fans aren’t pleased.
The new breakfast menu item includes a beef patty, melted cheese, bacon, egg, a hash brown and BBQ sauce. In an old-school twist it’s only available before 10:30am … but we bet you could make one after using the “Create” stations and ordering a hash brown separately (all-day brekkie for the win!).
After hitting headlines around the world, it wasn’t long before the Big Brekkie burger was deeply desired but completely unavailable. The Grace Kelly of burgers, if you will.
Metro UK wrote: “We’re so ready to pack up our stuff and book a flight over there to try it.”
Describing the burger as “basically the love child of a Big Mac and and Egg McMuffin”, Bustle added that the Big Brekkie burger was “brilliantly delicious” and declared “Australia: 1, America: 0.”
Given the international fuss by our American and British fellows, perhaps a viral social media effort is in order? After all, it worked on Guzman y Gomez.
@McDonalds how many rt's to get the big brekkie burger in the UK?— Ryan Peacock MBIFM (@Peacor) February 21, 2018
We’re still waiting on the reply to that tweet.
In the meantime, let’s just bask in the joy of having something the rest of the world wants for once (except the best beaches, the best coffee, the best wine, the best athletes, and the best accents).
