Australian Instagram model who was found dead on superyacht in Greece was dealing with ‘bad breakup’

More chilling details emerge.

Sinead McNamara, the Australian Instagram model who was found on the back of a billionaire’s superyacht, may have been suffering from a ‘bad breakup.’

The 20-year-old model from Port Macquarie, NSW, was reportedly being consoled by a colleague 15 minutes before her body was found at the rear of the $190million Mayan Queen IV as it sat docked in Argostoli, on the Greek Island of Kefalonia.

Her final moments are believed to have been captured on one of the yacht’s CCTV cameras, which is now a key part of the police investigation.

According to reports, police are also reviewing photographs and messages found on Ms McNamara’s phone after some crew members informed authorities she was suffering from a bad breakup.

A local coroner who carried out the autopsy confirmed to Daily Mail the cause of McNamara’s death was ‘hanging’, but claimed results from additional tests could take months to come back.

Fairfax, citing a source, says police have viewed CCTV from the yacht and questioned all the crew, and believe there are no suspicious circumstances.

The coroner also revealed to the publication he had advised Ms McNamara’s mother and sister against visiting her in the morgue, saying they should not go ‘to see her in such bad state’.

Tributes have poured in for the social media star on Instagram, with hundreds mourning the sudden loss.

‘This is so sad, rest in peace,’ said one.

Another wrote: ‘RIP, I’m so sad to hear about this awful tragedy, her life really just beginning. Sending love, light and prayers to Ashley’s friends & family during this time of tremendous grief & sadness.’
