2 large Beurre Bosc pears, unpeeled, halved, cored, each cut into three
Zest and juice of 1 orange
1 Tbsp brown sugar or granulated sugar substitute
1 pinch ground cardamom
½ cup (20g) cornflakes cereal
2 Tbsp slivered almonds
1 Tbsp honey
- Preheat oven to 200°C (fan-forced). Arrange pear slices in a small, shallow ovenproof dish. Sprinkle over orange zest and juice, sugar and cardamom. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and turn pear over. Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until pear is tender.
- Meanwhile, to make almond crumble, line an oven tray with baking paper. Combine Special K, almonds and honey in a small bowl. Spread over the prepared tray. Add to oven with pears and cook for 5-8 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
- Break crumble into pieces and sprinkle over pears to serve.
