Big W trainee manager Steven Norman John Walsh has outrageously caused store closures and numerous shoppers and staff to be evacuated.
Eager for a some time off, Steven left the Big W store where he worked and called a fellow employee claiming that there was a bomb about to explode in the store.
Steven has pleaded guilty to one charge of falsely stating a bomb was present when he faced Brisbane District Court today.
At the time of the offence Steven was a trainees manager at Toowoombah, Queensland.
Incredibly Steven committed the offence over 10 years ago when he was 18, back in October 2008. Shortly after the offence Steven started his 10 year career of hiding from the law. Relocating to Melbourne he also engaged in dishonesty offences.
When he moved back to Queensland Steven turned himself in to police.
Today Steven was sentenced to 6 months in jail but was released on parole.
