A Coles truck has caught fire on a Melbourne freeway leaving flames and smoke billowing from the cabin.
7News.com.au reports that emergency services were called to the M80 Ring Road in Derrimut near the Ballarat exit on Thursday afternoon to reports flames were coming from the front tyre.
The truck pulled into the emergency lane where it is believed to have caught alight.
Motorists shared dashcam footage of the truck showing thick black smoke and flames billowing from the front.
Firefighters were also seen blasting water through the front windscreen to extinguish the blaze.
No one is believed to have been injured.
VicRoads confirmed two lanes are closed on the M80 Ring Road Altona-bound and one lane Greensborough-bound between Fitzgerald Road and Ballarat Road, due to the fire.
"Follow the direction of emergency services and be vigilant in the area," a tweet said.
