Viral internet star Grumpy Cat has passed away at the age of seven.
Her US human family announced the death on Twitter on Friday afternoon.
They said she could not overcome complications from a recent urinary tract infection and died on Tuesday morning in the arms of her human mum Tabatha Bundesen.
"Her spirit will continue to live on through her fans everywhere," the family said in their statement.
