Nutella has been hit by a shocking extortion scandal, with criminals threatening to POISON containers of the cult spread unless a ransom is paid.
Police confirm the shocking scandal has hit Nutella’s headquarters in Italy, after bosses received packages containing packets of unidentified powder with the shocking demands.
It’s believed the criminals have threatened to unleash a mass poisoning campaign unless they receive more than $30,000 in cash - leading authorities to launch a full investigation.
And it seems Nutella isn’t the only major company hit, with a host of other huge European companies also targeted by the extortionists.

Danish police confirm that Danish Crown - described as Europe’s largest meal and processing company - have also received the threatening demand, as have major Swedish frozen food company Findus.
As well as confirming the Nutella threat, Italian police have also said that coffee makers Lavazza have been targeted - while European authorities say other food processing companies across Belgium, Germany, Austria and Britain have also been hit.
While it hasn’t been confirmed that the letters are connected and from the one person or group, authorities have at this stage said that staff and consumers aren’t at risk while they investigate.
