Residents in the NSW town of Orange have been left reeling after a man was found dead at their local ALDI.
Central West Police District crime manager Detective Inspector Bruce Grassick have confirmed that the 52-year-old man's body was found in the supermarket's loading dock just before 1am on Monday.
Paramedics were first called to the scene, but they later notified police when the man was unresponsive.
A report is now being prepared for the coroner about the deceased man, who was believed to be homeless.
A local resident tells New Idea Food: ‘It’s so sad, I really feel for the poor fellow.
‘A lot of families go to that ALDI, so I guess it was a relief that it happened during the night and there weren’t any small children or school kids there to see the poor man’s body.
‘You never think this sort of things going to happen near you, especially at the supermarket you go to every day.’
