The letter reads: ‘Warning: Due to terrible management, the whole store has quit.
‘The company has been sold to people that don’t give a **** about anyone but themselves.’
The letter was signed off with a few more expletives, too rude to print!
Similar letters were pinned to the doors of Sonic’s other restaurants, saying ‘Goodbye’, ‘Thank you, next’ and describing the chain as ‘the most trashiest company we’ve ever seen.’
Sonic - a drive-through fast food chain which specialises in American foods such as fries, burgers and hot dogs - has more than 3,600 store across the US.
It’s believed the management crisis is only hitting some stores since the new owners stepped in, with workers unhappy that some senior staff had been sacked and others had had their wages cut to just $5.56 an hour.
And while management have denied the wage cut, anonymous sources tell another story to local US media.
Not surprisingly, social media have thrown their support behind the disgruntled workers.
Said one Twitter user: “They cut workers pay from min wage to $4.00 USD + tips. $4.00 USD. Plus tips. TIPS. AT A FAST FOOD JOINT.’ Wrote another: ‘I like Sonic, but I love this letter. It gives me so much hope to see workers supporting each other with bold actions like this. Best of luck to everyone involved.’
