Well now clever cleaning fans are finding other uses for super Scalex, and we’re blown away by the results.
Sharing on the fabulous Mums Who Clean Facebook page, Jacqie revealed how she’d transformed her toilet floor tiles using the Bunnings product.
She writes: ‘So I used scalex on our rental toilet floor!!! And OMG!!! What a difference!!!
‘So disgusting... it now stinks so bad so will be trying the shaving cream trick...’
She adds: ‘For those asking.... THE SMELL IS FROM THE YEARS OF URINE AND GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE...’
Revealing her technique, Jacqie writes: ‘I used hot water from the tap covered floor in water, sprinkled 1/4 of bottle, left to sit for half an hour and came back to give it a quick scrub .... you could hear the Scalex bubbling and fizzing away when I scrubbed at [it].’
She adds: ‘I only had 25 mins before school pick up and wanted to give it a try to see if it worked as I wasn't sure if
Scalex would do the job.’
Many of the Mums Who Clean community were blown away by the results.
‘Wow! Come up like new!’ wrote one. Added another: ‘I used it to get inside the toilet clean, never thought of using it on the floor of the toilet!’ Said a third: ‘That's wild!! I love love love it.’
Said one more: ‘That is so crazy! I love how clean it looks.’
Others warned against using it on dark tiles: ‘Love this stuff but I put this on my dark grey coloured tiles in the shower and for the life of me I cannot get rid of the white marks it’s left behind on the tiles 🤦🏻♀️.’
Said another: ‘Just be careful not to use too much, dilute it down!’
