As far as break-ins go, they don’t get much better, or weirder, than this.
When Nate returned home to his Massachusetts property earlier this month, he could tell a stranger had been there.
Nothing was missing, but the 44-year-old noticed something was different - the house was spotless.
This is where it gets a little unsettling.
The person not only cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom, they even crafted origami roses on the toilet paper rolls.
Describing the experience as “weird and creepy”, Roman wasn’t taking any chances, and contacted police.
“It’s funny now, but didn’t feel funny at the time,” Roman said.
“I kept the toilet paper roses as souvenirs.”
Sgt Daniel Campbell says the department hasn’t heard of similar episodes and that there are no suspects.
Roman says he may have left his back door unlocked and wondered if perhaps a housekeeping service went to his home by mistake.
