Bunnings sausage sizzles have something of a cult following in Australia, and it’s become a regular hangout on Australia Day or when looking for lunch of a weekend.
On Friday 3rd August, Bunnings in the ACT and NSW will be raising funds for Aussie farmers affected by the current severe drought. If you’re in Queensland and you want to help out, you can drop into any Bunnings in the state next Friday, August 10th.
Head into your local Bunnings between 9am and 4pm to grab a classic Aussie sausage sizzle.
98% of NSW is experiencing drought and has recorded the fifth driest July on record. This week, the Bureau of Meteorology released a climate summary which found it has been the driest July since 2002.
Two thirds of Queensland is experiencing drought.
The drought has not only caused pastures to dry up – the cost of freight and feed has also been increasing exponentially, leaving farmers facing ruin.
