It’s the modern-day equivalent of the ‘Guess The Number Of Jellybeans In The Jar’ comp that we all had at the local school fete when we were growing up.
And today Aussie shoppers all over the country are playing ‘How Much Is In The Aldi Trolley?’ after one mum decided to open up a fun new challenge on Facebook.
Posting in the Budgeting, Food, Stockpiling, Savings Ideas, Life Help Australia Facebook page, Aussie shopper Codie shared a pic of her Aldi haul with the caption: ‘Anyone wanna take a guess how much this cost?’
It wasn’t long before hundreds of fellow shoppers started taking guesses with estimates ranging from $18 up to $270.
Said one shopper: 'I have to do this when I do my shop this week! Love this game!'
Dropping further hints, Codie revealed that she’d bought 95 items during her Aldi shop - and then posted more pics of her haul, laid out on the ground.
In the end, she revealed the total she paid - $173.55. Codie went on to say that she was very happy with how much she paid, saying it would last her family-of-four more than a week.
She wrote: ‘It's a big shock for me as I normally shop at Woolies and being only my pay from work to live off and support 4 people, I was happy with this shop.’
