Irresistible toppings that might not even make it to your main meal, be sure to make extra, just in case.

Ingredients

200g/8oz nuts (pecans, hazelnuts, pistachios or walnuts)

3 tbsp honey

2 tbsp golden caster sugar

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to fan 180C/conventional 200C/
    gas 6.

  2. Toss the nuts in small bowl with the honey,
    sugar and 1⁄2 tsp salt.

  3. Spread the nuts out on a nonstick baking sheet and separate them so they are not touching each other.

  4. Roast for 3 minutes, then transfer to a sheet of non-stick baking parchment.
