1 ½ cups low-fat milk
170 g packet four cheeses pasta & sauce
1 onion, finely chopped
500 g beef mince
500 g jar tomato and basil pasta sauce
½ cup grated Parmesan
- Bring 1½ cups milk, 1 cup water and pasta and sauce mix to boil in a large saucepan. Simmer stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes, or until thickened and pasta is tender.
- Heat a large, oiled non-stick frying pan over high heat. Add finely chopped onion and beef. Cook, breaking up mince with a wooden spoon, for about 6 to 8 minutes or until cooked. Add tomato pasta sauce and stir until hot. Spoon into an ovenproof dish (14-cup capacity). Top with cheese pasta mixture. Sprinkle with ½ cup grated parmesan.
- Cook in a moderate oven (180C) for about 20 minutes or until golden. Serve with salad (optional).
