When it comes to getting fast food with a vegan you can bet your tofu that they’ve done their research and know exactly what is and isn’t a plant-based option.
Domino’s garlic bread, for example, has invariably sustained many a vegan through more than one pizza party. Now, the pizza giant has suggested they might have something a little extra in the pipeline for vegans and other dairy-free fans.
Posting on their Facebook page, Domino’s Australia asked a pretty simple question:
‘We know that Garlic Bread has been a staple for our Vegan customers for a while now. Should a Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread make it to our menu...?’
The post has now been shared over 150 times and attracted around 8000 comments – much of them along the same lines and in all-caps:
‘YES! YES A THOUSAND TIMES! I'LL MAKE IT PROFITABLE FOR YOU BY MYSELF!!!’ commented this meat-free moneybags.
‘YES PLEASE!! I would die for vegan cheesy garlic bread,’ said another commenter – hopefully that won’t be necessary as it defeats the purpose of cruelty-free food.
‘UM YES I WOULD BUY 100 EVERY DAY’ added this garlic fan, who probably needs help budgeting.
Of course those after ethical consumption aren’t the only ones who would benefit from a dairy-free cheesy garlic bread.
‘Yes please!!! For those of us that are lactose intolerant that would be amazing,’ commented one lactase-deficient individual.
The best comment award, however, goes to this person who shared a truth we have learned from Ben and Jerry’s, San Churro’s dessert menu, and Ikea’s new hotdogs: ‘If you build it, the vegans will come.’
