¼ cup 100's and 1000's
395 g can sweetened condensed milk
100 g butter, cubed
1¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
100 g chopped chocolate chips, regular or flavoured
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
24 paddle pop-sticks
- Line a tray of 24 mini muffin pans with paper cases. Divide the 100’s and 1000’s between the papers and set aside.
- Place the condensed milk, cubed butter, brown sugar and golden syrup into a 3L heat-resistant glass bowl. Cook, uncovered, in the microwave on mediumhigh (70%) for 8-10 min, stirring every 2 min.
- Add the chocolate and vanilla essence and stir until combined. Allow to cool for 5 min and then divide into the paper cases. Chill until almost set, then push a paddle pop stick into each one. Chill until firm. Remove from the moulds, peel away papers if desired, wrap in cellophane and tie with string.
