Made in under 5 minutes, this mug cake is the most tasty microwave meal you've had in a long time!
1 tbsp Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread, plus extra to serve
1 medium egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp vegetable oil
3 tsp soft light brown sugar
1 ½ tbsp self-raising flour
A few chopped toasted hazelnuts
- Mash half the banana with a fork in the bottom of a large heatproof mug. Mix in the chocolate hazelnut spread, egg, vanilla, oil, sugar, flour and a pinch of salt.
- When well combined, microwave on High for 1 min 30 secs until risen and cooked through. Serve topped with a blob of chocolate hazelnut spread, sliced banana and a few chopped hazelnuts, if you like. Eat straight away.
