Earlier this week, Woolworths confirmed that they’d sold out of Lion King OoshieCollector Cases in some stores - leading to disappointment amongst many collectors around the country.
Well now one savvy Ooshie fan has taken to Facebook to reveal her clever hack for storing the coveted collectables - and all you need is a $1.75 Kmart item!
Sharing her idea on the Kmart Hacks & Decor Facebook group, follower Courtney reveals she came up with the idea while looking for ways to store the Ooshie collections she’d put together for her niece and nephew.
She writes: ‘I didn’t get a chance to buy folders for the Woolworth lion king ooshie sets I completed for my niece and nephew, I later realised that it is probably a good thing because of their age and they will more than likely ruin them.. but at the same time I didn’t want to hand them over in the snap lock bags I have collected them in. 😂
Kmart came to the rescue with a 2-pack of containers for $1.75 and a $2 sticker book to put their names on each container. I also printed a sheet I made with all of the characters and their names. (which I made too big to fit in the tubs so they will need shrinking slightly!)
‘Very happy with the end result, and I hope the kiddies will be too!’
Sharing photos of her hack, you can see that the 24 Ooshies fit into the Kmart container side-by-side perfectly - and Courtney’s idea of personalising the cases is amazing.
Not surprisingly, the hack has received the big thumbs up from other Kmart and Ooshie fans.
Courtney made this printout of the Ooshies to place at the bottom of the containers. Genius!
