Even tougher product limits at Coles and Woolworths as Melbourne enters Stage 4 restrictions
It was the news no Victorian wanted to hear: as of 6pm Sunday August 2 Melbourne would enter Stage 4 restrictions which includes an 8pm-5am curfew, with the rest of Victoria moving to Stage 3 restrictions. And with that news came the usual panic buying, forcing supermaket giants Coles and Wooloworths to enforce their own tougher restrictions. So what exactly does this include? Let's break it down:
COLES
Melbourne stores will now close at 7.45pm every night with customers allowed to enter until 7.30pm. Those stores which have an earlier closing time will close at their regular time.
New limits currently include two per person of the following:
- Mince meat
- Chicken breasts
- Chicken thighs
This is in addition to two per person limit on hand sanitiser and one per person limit on face masks.
