Everyone loves ice cream! But chances are you either love coriander or absolutely loathe it.
For those on board the coriander love train we have some exciting news for you. Coriander soft serve ice cream has arrived!
Now, if you find the taste of coriander to be repulsive and even taste of ‘soap’ you are not alone.
Genetics is the likely culprit for your aversion to the humble herb.
A study by genetic testing company ‘23andMe’ comparing DNA from coriander haters found a genetic variation linked to 13% of the population finding the taste of coriander to be ‘soapy’.
But the good news is if you are part if the remaining 87% of the population then you would welcome the newest arrival at ‘Soft Launch Cafe’ in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Since the launch of the Coriander soft serve, the internet has been buzzing with foodies wanting to try the unconventional creation.

“I will definitely be trying this next time I am in KL”, said one positive reviewer.
But most of the online reviews have been negative, we can only imagine the small percentage of the population that hates coriander have been busy on their keyboards.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE JUST WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS??”, commented one.
“Thanks.. Friday afternoon, going home and my weekend is now destroyed. There isn’t enough bleach in the world to bleach out of my eyes the horror of that..”, said another.
