At this stage, online delivery orders are still available across the rest of Australia.
The move comes as millions of Australians continue to stockpile groceries as fears of a coronavirus lockdown mount.
This morning Woolworths announced that as of tomorrow, most stores will open earlier to allow for a ‘dedicated hour of shopping’ for elderly shoppers and those with a disability between 7am and 8am.
The move was met with applause from customers all around the country.
‘Well done, Woolies,’ said one Facebook user. ‘This is the Australian way,’ added another.
