Before the coronavirus pandemic swept across the globe, stockpilers would regular share tips and pictures of their ‘stashes’ with others among their online communities.
Now with the supermarkets shelves being stripped bare with panic buying, stockpilers have been targeted over their supplies.
Shockingly, stockpilers have even received death treats over their stockpiles.
One upset stockpiler had her friend targeted with death threats: “My friend Cath stockpiles this way... home preserves, sales... etc. Someone online threatened to kill her today,”
Alarmingly she is not the only one who has been targeted, others confessing that they have also received online negativity.
One commenting: “This current stockpile has taken me 4 years to build up. No one has ever had a problem with it, until Covid happened. Now we get called selfish and disgusting and hoarders 🤷♀️”
Another adding she is ashamed of her stash: “I feel ashamed of my stockpile and I shouldn’t. I was embarrassed before this cause people would think I’m a preppier and I’m embarrassed now cause people think I’m a panic buyer.”
