An Aussie mum has shared her ingenious trick for making toilet paper last longer - and it’s gone viral!
Sharing on the Mums Who Budget & Save Facebook page, the savvy mum explained that she squashes the toilet paper roll down before placing it on the holder. The simple trick means the toilet paper can’t spin easily on the holder, meaning her kids use less toilet paper with each trip to the loo. Genius!
She writes: 'Kids home from school? Going through toilet paper faster than usual? Try squashing the roll - so it doesn't spin so quickly and then not as much will be pulled off.’
The genius hack means not only do you conserve toilet paper - a precious commodity in these times of coronavirus shopping restrictions - but you save money too!
The trick has gone down a treat with other budget savvy mums.
Said one: 'Mind blowing!! I'm definitely trying this - for me!' Added another: 'I had to do that. My kids would just pull it until it stops.’
Said a third: ‘How can something so simple be so genius! You are amazing.’
Now, we’re off to squash some toilet paper rolls!
