Ingredients
40 g butter
2 bacon rashers, chopped
¼ cup plain flour
1 cup milk
1 cup prepared vegetable stock
½ cup grated tasty cheese plus extra to serve
Black pepper, cracked
500 g fresh or frozen cauliflower
Method
- Melt 40g butter, add 2 chopped bacon rashers, cook 30 sec. Add ¼ cup plain flour, cook for 30 sec. Whisk in 1 cup milk and 1 cup prepared vegetable stock. Cook until thickened, stirring often. Add ½ cup grated tasty cheese. Season to taste with cracked black pepper.
- Meanwhile, microwave 500g fresh or frozen cauliflower for 3-5 min, place in a shallow baking dish. Top with sauce and a little extra cheese. Bake for 20 min at 180°C (160°C fan forced) or until golden brown.
