Ingredients
1 cinnamon quill
¾ cup medium-grain rice
⅓ cup caster sugar
3½ cups milk
2 cups water
Maple pecan syrup
50 g unsalted butter
½ cup maple syrup
¾ cup chopped pecans
⅓ cup pure cream
Method
- Place all ingredients in a large saucepan.
- Bring to boil. Gently simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently, for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until tender. Discard cinnamon.Drizzle with maple pecan syrup.
- To make maple pecan syrup, boil butter, maple syrup and chopped pecans in a frying pan for about 3 minutes, or until thickened. Stir in pure cream.
