With the closure of Doughnut Time, we’ve been wondering where we would get our next doughnut fix from, and Krispy Kreme has stepped forward with a new collaboration with The Simpsons.
Homer Simpson’s iconic obsession with pink-iced, rainbow-sprinkled doughnuts has been a staple of the show since the beginning. And you “doughnut” need to look any further for a similar sweet treat.
This snack features the classic original glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry-flavoured white chocolate truffle and covered in coloured sprinkles. It comes in a bespoke box designed exclusively by the artists from the beloved TV show.
Krispy Kreme’s Head of Marketing, Russell Schulman, says, ‘pairing Homer Simpson, the world’s favourite doughnut devourer, with the world’s most iconic doughnut company, is a match made in doughnut heaven. Oh, and it tastes just as good as you’ve imagined for all those years!’
To celebrate the arrival, Krispy Kreme is giving anyone with the surname “Simpson” the chance to try it for free. This Thursday, March 29th, they can redeem a complimentary doughnut by showing photo ID at their nearest Krispy Kreme store.
The D’ohnut will be available to purchase from 7-Eleven and Krispy Kreme stores until April 30th.
