Cute craft for kids

Keep the kiddies entertained during the school holidays with these playful puppets!

Materials:

Heavy cardstock in white, green and orange

Glitter

Coloured yarn

Googly eyes

Glue

Hole punch

Pen

Magical unicorn

STEP 1

Draw and cut out the body, head, ears and horn of the unicorn.

STEP 2

Trace or free-draw four 2cm in diameter circles at the base of the body. Cut them out with a scalpel on a cutting board (this job should be done by an adult).

STEP 3

Glue all the bits together and add some glitter to the horn. Draw a cute face and glue on a googly eye.

STEP 4

Create the mane by gluing different sized pieces of coloured yarn to the back of the neck and between the ears and horn.

STEP 5

Make a hole at the unicorn’s rear end with a hole punch. Cut 40cm of yarn and fold it until it’s around 10cm in length. Feed one end through the hole and make a knot. Cut the other ends.

Delightful dino

Copy the unicorn instructions, replacing the horn and mane with a spiky tail and triangular plates along the neck and back.
