Sharing on a popular UK cleaning Facebook group, one professional cleaner revealed her super clever trick for avoiding gritty, dirty, stinky water in your toilet brush holder.
‘In my experience, there’s nothing worse that cleaning out the filthy water that collects at the bottom of the toilet brush holder after you’ve cleaned the bowl,’ the professional cleaner, named Karen, revealed.
‘But I learnt a clever trick that has saved me that horrible job years ago, and I thought I’d pass it on.
‘What you do is, after you’ve cleaned the toilet you place the brush horizontally across the toilet drain and lower the seat to keep it in place. What happens is all the excess water drains off, and you’re left with a (mostly) clean brush. Then when it’s dry, just place it back in the holder ready for next time.
‘You’ll never look back. No more splashing toilet water to and from the toilet brush holder, and all that horrible water will be a thing of the past.’
The post has already gone down a treat on local Aussie Facebook pages.
Said one: ‘I am 60. Found out today that you should hang the toilet brush over the toilet to drain it. Who knew ... This will change my life!’
