And now it seems Bunnings is in on the action with their own deal - with one shopper revealing to the Markdown Addicts Australia group that she picked up the 17-pack for just $5.
She writes: ‘If you’re like me and missed out on the Woolworths $5 9-pack containers, I found in my local Bunnings 17-piece food storage containers on clearance for $5.’
It appears the flash sale is only limited to some stores - but they are available online at Bunnings for $6.98, so be sure to check your local store for availability.
Another shopper says she’s already picked up six of the Bunnings packs - that’s over 100 pieces! - and others are doing the same. ‘I’m going to Bunnings now,’ said one. Added another: ‘This is all because of the Coles promo.’
Shopper Carly also took advantage of the Bunnings deal - giving them a 5-star review, and revealing that they have excellent seals. She writes: 'Not a markdown but an amazing find at an incredible price I could not share! 17 storage containers for $6.98 at Bunnings! That works out to be roughly 40c per container !
She adds: 'Those asking how the seals are. I filled one with water and tipped upside down [see second photo, top of page].'
The Bunnings deal comes just days after it was revealed that Coles had come under fire when it was revealed that the 600ml container required 20 credits - which means shoppers would have to spend $200 to get them smallest container.
A larger container, meanwhile, would require around $400 in credits.
Says one shopper: ‘It’s a joke!’
