The biggest question at kid’s parties and picnics is what to put on your meat pie – tomato or barbecue sauce? When we’re at home, we’re more preoccupied with choosing a vino to accompany our classic meat pie. It definitely takes the dish from bogan to sophisticated!
Australian Herbert Adams have been around for 109 years, so they know our habits well. They’ve cleverly combined two of our favourite things – meat pies and wine.
They’ve announced three new flavours that are now on sale in Woolworths and other supermarkets across the country:
· Slow-cooked beef with shiraz and cracked pepper
· Slow-cooked beef with Portobello mushroom and merlot
· Slow-cooked beef with caramelised onion cabernet sauvignon
Pattie’s Foods General Marketing & Innovation Manager, Anand Surujpal, says, “with winter here and the convenience of eating at home becoming stronger, we are seeing the premium quality pie category growing rapidly.”
“We combined the best boutique local wines with 8 hour slow-cooked Australian beef.”
