1 kg desiree potatoes, peeled, cut into 5 cm pieces
80 g butter, chopped
300 ml thickened cream
Sea-salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper, to season
- Put potato in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Put over a high heat and bring to the boil. Simmer for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
- Drain and return to pan. Add butter and cream. Mash until smooth, then season. Serve.
