‘I’ve gone through all of the forums and closed groups and believe that there are still around 90 of the Furry Simbas available in Woolworths stores,’ the expert, who has five full sets of the Ooshies, tells New Idea Food. ‘We’ve seen around five of them pop up on eBay, and I’ve spoken to a handful of collectors on private message who have one.
‘But I think the majority of Furry Ooshies are yet to be found, they’re still hiding in Woolies stores. I think people would be surprised and it’s great news for Ooshies collectors. I have five sets, but I’m still collecting because I’m keep to get my hands on a Furry one!’
‘People always say it’s best to go to really busy stores because they have a high turnover of Ooshies,’ the collector, who asked to stay anonymous, said. ‘I also wouldn’t be surprised if Woolworths are hanging onto a big chunk of them so they can release them closer to the end of the promotion just so everyone stays interested. I know I’m desperate for one!’
