‘Funding was tight this year, so I managed to celebrate my birthday for under $5 for two people with plenty of food to spare! ’ Lari explained on the Facebook page. ‘Just wanted to share what I got for anyone else who might want to do the same:
‘1) Free Whopper from Hungry Jacks through the Hungry Jacks App.
‘2) Free 6 inch sub + small coke from Subway through the Eat Fresh Club.
‘3) Free Blueberry Muffin and Mocha from Muffin Break through the Muffin Break Loyalty program - you just need to pick up a card and register for a free coffee and also a free birthday muffin - was delicious!
‘4) Free original sized Boost Juice through the Boost Juice app.
‘5) Free Churros for two from San Churro - worth $16 and comes with two dipping sauces, super filling + they put a sparkler in! :D Through their El Social loyalty program.
‘6) Raspberry Cheesecake from Coles marked down to $3.50.
‘7) Box of Chocolates from Kmart marked down to $1.
‘8) Two hoodies (marked down to $5 each) from Factorie through signing up with the Perks loyalty program which gives you $10 for your birthday with no minimum spend = free.
‘Total birthday spend = $4.50’
We couldn’t be more impressed! As were Lari’s fellow Markdown Addicts followers, who all rushed to wish her a happy birthday - and congratulate her on her haul!
Wrote one: ‘Happy birthday, girl. I sometimes forget about the free birthday stuff from loyalty cards. Well done on the bday load.’ Added another: 'Hope you have a great Birthday, plus it's really good that you can share this with us!’
