How to get your hands on the Aldi wine advent calendar FIRST in Australia
Trust us, this is the ONLY story you need to read today!
It's the exciting news that stopped the country - Aldi's decision to sell wine and beer advent calendars in Australia. Talk about a Christmas miracle!
The festive calendars go on sale in Australia on Wednesday - less than two days away! - but given there's a limited supply and literally thousands of Aussies who have voiced their excitement to get their own bit of Aldi festive cheer, expert shoppers are weighing in on their tips to snap one up without disappointment.
'The best option for shoppers who really want one of the Aldi wine or beer advent calendars is to be there when the doors open first thing on Wednesday morning and make a bee line for the middle where they're sure to be,' one Aldi expert told New Idea Food. 'Make sure you're there a good half hour to an hour before opening hours start, just so you're at the front of the queue - you don't want to be stuck behind 20 other eager shoppers when those doors open.'
Adds another seasoned Aldi bargain shopper: 'When I'm keen to snap up a special, I like to have a quiet word with the manager the day before and find out where they're likely to keep the product, just so I know where I'm heading the next morning once the doors open.
'Another good idea is to head to an Aldi store which isn't as busy as some. Obviously if you're going to an Aldi that sees heavy foot traffic and is always busy, chances are they're going to have more people queuing up for those in-demand products. So head to a store that's a little less busy.'

And if all else fails and you haven't been able to sneer one of the sought-after boozy Aldi calendars, experts have one last piece of advice: hit the phones.
'Even when the internet or social media says a product is completely sold out, I always do a ring around of all my local Aldis to see if there's any in store - and I almost always strike gold,' says the expert. 'Often people will return items after a few days, or there's one tucked away in a weird part of the store that they stumble across. So it always pays to do a ring around.'
Costing $79.99, the 24 Days of Celebration Wine Advent Calendar comes with 24 French wines in mini bottles - while the The Hoppy Christmas Beer Advent Calendar costs $59.99 and features 24 premium beers from around the world including Peroni, Corona and Asahi.
Good luck everyone!
