If you’re one of the thousands of Australians currently growing plants with Woolworths Discovery Garden, we have just the hack for you.
A new hack has emerged for making your Discovery Garden seedlings grow faster, and anyone can do it.
Facebook group Plastic-Free Brisbane shared the ingenious trip of keeping your Discovery Garden plants inside plastic strawberry punnet containers, so they can effectively work like mini greenhouses and help your seedlings grow faster.
Says Plastic-Free Brisbane: ‘I love this neat trick I learned from Waste Not Collective to reuse strawberry punnets as mini greenhouses.
The strawberry punnet containers act like a mini greenhouse for your plants! Love it!
‘The supplied pots dry out VERY quickly, and popping them inside an empty punnet provides the perfect growing conditions. And this is a great way to reuse these punnets, as strawberries are very difficult to buy plastic-free if you aren’t fortunate enough to live near a strawberry farm.’
So clever! The hack has already received the big thumbs up from Discovery Garden collectors.
‘Love the strawberry container idea!’ said one. Added another: ‘I know what I’ll be doing with my strawberry punnets now!’
